Our mission is to reduce water waste in the name of climate change, growing populations and awareness of limited resources. Additionally, we strive to reduce the financial burden of avoidable water damage at an affordable price to our neighbors all over the world. Our products not only alert to you to leaking water, but protect your home from any water loss.
BigWater started when our engineer founder, Kevan Evans, experienced a water heater leak in his basement. Since he was at work and had no way to get a warning, the water heater leaked for most of the day, flooded his basement and caused significant damage to his home. In addition to the water itself, the moisture traveled up the sheetrock and in to the insulation of the walls, providing the perfect environment for mold and ongoing problems. After insurance claims, clean-up crews, deductibles and numerous “non-covered” expenses, Kevan wanted to find a way to solve the Water Damage Problem. He began working in his spare time on a solution. Then, as life likes to do, Kevan experienced a water heater rupture in a new home while at work. “That’s it!”, he declared and went to work on BigWater Technologies full time.
