Thermoforming: What is it?


You’ve heard us talking about it for weeks, but what is it?

For us laymen, a thermoformer is a machine with 2 functions: heat and vacuum pressure. It’s used to shape plastic into whatever shape you desire. In our case, the thermoformer heats up sheets of plastic, lowers them onto a wood form, then sucks the air out to pull the pliable plastic into the shape we want.
